GTA 6 Confirmed Features
The useful question about any Grand Theft Auto VI claim is not whether it is interesting but where it came from. This page lists what Rockstar has actually stated in public — the release date, the platforms, the cast, the regions, the editions — and then lists the things that get quoted as confirmed and are not. Everything in the first list has a first-party source. Everything in the second has a leak, an inference or a direct message.

Quoted as confirmed, and not
| Claim | What it actually rests on |
|---|---|
| The map is twice the size of GTA V | A December 2023 direct message, never corroborated |
| Six-star wanted level | A HUD element in leaked footage from an older build |
| An honour or karma system | A mood icon in leaked footage; no mechanical effect has been shown |
| Fuel matters and cars can run dry | A gauge and a minimap station icon in leaked footage |
| Leonida has five counties | A leaked map image the Mapping Project disputes |
| A PC version is coming in 2027 | Series precedent, not a Rockstar statement |
| An online mode is planned | Series precedent; Rockstar has announced nothing |
| 70% of interiors are enterable | The same December 2023 direct message |
Why the second list travels further
Because the second list is more fun, and because the first list is boring in a way that is hard to build a video around. A release date does not sustain a channel; a six-star wanted level does. The mechanism is not malice — most of the accounts repeating these claims believe them — but the effect is that a HUD element from a three-year-old build has more public standing than an official Newswire post.
The corrective is not scepticism about everything. Four of the eight leaks on this site are Verified, which means Rockstar or Take-Two acted on them in public. Leaked material is often real. What it is not is finished, and it is never a statement of intent: the August 2026 clips show a build from before both of the game’s delays. Two years of development sit between that footage and the disc.
The delays are confirmed facts too
Two dated Rockstar posts moved this game thirteen months. On 2 May 2025 a Fall 2025 window became 26 May 2026, with an apology and a line about exceeding expectations. On 6 November 2025 that became 19 November 2026, with an apology and a line about polish. Neither post gave a cause beyond finishing the game, and neither mentioned any leak.
They belong on this page because of what they do to everything in the second list. Leaked footage that outlets place around 2023 to 2024 predates both announcements. Every system observed in it was built for a game that was then targeting a window two delays ago. That is not a reason to distrust the footage — it is a reason to stop quoting a HUD element from it as a launch feature.
What An Extended Look can settle
Rockstar’s presentation on 27 August 2026 is the first scheduled chance for anything in the second list to move into the first. Three claims are most exposed to it: the wanted system, because a sixth star either appears on screen or does not; the mood or honour icon, because a presentation showing consequences would turn a disputed HUD element into a described system; and fuel, because a station on a minimap is the kind of detail marketing either shows off or quietly drops.
Two other claims will almost certainly survive it untouched. Rockstar has never published a map for any Grand Theft Auto before launch, so the county names are unlikely to be settled in August. And a PC date has no natural home in a gameplay presentation for two console platforms. This page will be rewritten against what the presentation actually shows rather than against what it is expected to show.
The confirmations nobody quotes
Rockstar’s press kit names more in-game content than its trailers do, and almost none of it gets repeated. The Ultimate Edition images name six vehicles, two weapons and five businesses outright, plus the pre-order pack contents:
- Vehicles — a ’95 Grotti Cheetah, a Vapid Buggy, a retro-build Vapid Ganado, a Squalo, a Stock 305 and an Electric Fang
- Weapons — the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, and a shotgun called One-Eyed Willie
- A garage called Rideout Customs
- A salon called Sara’s Salon
- A shop called the PTT Store
- An outfitter called Goodtime Gear
- A vehicle collection badged Wyman
- Pre-order pack — a ’55 Vapid Stanier, a set of period outfits and hairstyles, and a weapon pattern
These are first-party names published on Rockstar’s own media page, which puts them in the first list on this page rather than the second. They are worth knowing for a practical reason: a leak claiming a licensed vehicle marque contradicts a naming convention Rockstar has already demonstrated for this specific game, and that is a faster check than any amount of frame analysis.
How to check a claim in thirty seconds
- Ask which of the eight logged events it traces to. If the answer is none, it is not a leak, it is a post.
- Ask whether Rockstar or Take-Two did anything about it. Takedowns, statements and filings are the strongest signal available.
- Ask how old the build is. Anything from the August 2026 clips predates both delays.
- Ask whether the claim is about the video or about something published next to the video. The August map image is the standing example of the difference.
