A TikTok captioned "First look at GTA 6" showed a phone pointed at a monitor running a development build, panning a full circle around the Stockyard neighbourhood of Vice City. Trailer 1 landed two days later and contained the same buildings.

What actually leaked

  • A 360-degree pan of the Stockyard area of Vice City from a playable build
  • Building exteriors later identified as Jack of Hearts and What's Cooking
  • Claims passed on in direct messages: a map twice the size of GTA V, three major cities and four sub-cities, and at least 70% of interiors enterable

Standing: Credible

The footage matches Trailer 1 and the 2022 hack material closely enough that the community treats it as real. The direct-message claims about map size and interiors are a separate matter — nothing has ever corroborated them, and they are the single most repeated piece of unsourced GTA 6 trivia on the internet.

What happened next

The account was deleted within a day. The leak was widely reported as originating with the son of, or a friend of the son of, Aaron Garbut, head of development at Rockstar North. Rockstar has never commented.
