A character animator's showreel, uploaded to Vimeo in September 2025, went unnoticed for three months. Then the GTA community found the first twenty seconds — three animation tests cut to the song from Trailer 1.
What actually leaked
- A character collecting a LomBike from a bike-share station and mounting it
- The same character dismounting and docking the bike back at the station
- A split-screen test of a female character stepping off the bed of a black Sadler, filmed from the truck bed and from the roof, with the Boardwalk Hotel behind her
Standing: Credible
The LomBike and its docking stations had already appeared in both leaked and official material, and the reel was cut to "Love Is a Long Road" by Tom Petty — the Trailer 1 needle-drop. Chue removed the reel from Vimeo the same day it started circulating, which is the closest thing to confirmation anyone got.
What happened next
IGN noted that part of the footage had already appeared in an official Rockstar screenshot, which is why this leak revealed less than its reach suggested. It remains the clearest look at how bike-share traversal is meant to work.
